We, the Institute of Pharmacy & Technology, Salipur, hereby solemnly declare that we have fully complied with all the guidelines, regulations, and directives prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

In adherence to the norms established by the UGC, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of institutional governance, academic integrity, transparency, and student welfare. Our institution remains dedicated to fostering an environment that promotes excellence in education, ethical conduct, and holistic development of students in accordance with UGC mandates.

Institute confirms the compliance with the following:

  1. Establishment and Composition of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC):

In accordance with the UGC (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2016, the Internal Complaints Committee has been duly constituted at Institute of Pharmacy & Technology, Salipur. The committee comprises a senior woman faculty member as the Presiding Officer, members from faculty, non-teaching staff, students, and an external member. The committee is fully functional and actively engaged in ensuring a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all women within the institution. It stands committed to upholding the rights and dignity of women employees and students by addressing grievances with fairness, confidentiality, and prompt redressal mechanisms.

  1. Compliance with the UGC (Redress of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023:

Institute of Pharmacy & Technology, Salipur has duly constituted the Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) as per the latest UGC regulations.  The committee comprises appropriate representation from faculty members, administrative staff, and student representatives to ensure inclusivity and balanced decision-making. The SGRC functions with a commitment to fairness, transparency, and accountability. It convenes meetings at regular intervals to address and resolve student grievances in a timely and effective manner, thereby promoting a supportive and responsive academic environment.

  1. Compliance with the UGC (Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2013:

The Institute of Pharmacy & Technology, Salipur has fully implemented all anti-ragging measures as mandated by the University Grants Commission (UGC). An Anti-Ragging Committee and an Anti-Ragging Squad have been duly constituted and are actively functioning to ensure a safe and inclusive environment on campus. Regular awareness programs are conducted to educate students about the consequences of ragging. Mandatory affidavits are obtained from both students and their parents/guardians at the time of admission. All the student information uploaded in the anti-ragging portal. Institute conduct orientation and induction program for fresher students for Acclimatization with the campus environment. Additionally, anonymous reporting mechanisms have been established to empower students to report any untoward incidents without fear of reprisal. We remain committed to maintaining a ragging-free, safe, and welcoming campus that promotes mutual respect, dignity and a culture of support among all members of our academic community.

  1. Guidelines for Institutional Development Plans (IDPs) for next five years:

The Institute has meticulously prepared and officially adopted an Institutional Development Plan (IDP) in alignment with the guidelines prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC). This comprehensive plan outlines strategic objectives focused on fostering academic excellence, infrastructure enhancement, research and innovation development, and student success. It serves as a roadmap to support the Institute’s long-term vision, sustainable growth, and commitment to quality education and institutional advancement.

  1. Provision of Equitable Opportunities for Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs):

The Institute is firmly committed to fostering an inclusive educational environment and adheres strictly to the guidelines prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to ensure equitable opportunities for students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

To support this commitment, the institution has implemented a range of measures, including:

Financial Aid Schemes: Scholarships, fee concessions, and assistance programs tailored to support economically weaker students.

Academic Support: Remedial classes, bridge courses, and tutorial sessions to strengthen academic performance.

The Institute has proactively implemented accessibility standards to foster an inclusive academic environment. Infrastructure across the campus has been upgraded to ensure barrier-free access, including ramps, accessible washrooms, and elevators. Additionally, assistive technologies and dedicated support services are in place to ensure that students with disabilities enjoy equal opportunities and full participation in academic and campus life.

  1. Establishment of Research & Development (R&D) Cell:

A dedicated Research and Development (R&D) Cell has been established at the college to promote a vibrant research ecosystem, as institute is declared as Nodal Centre for Ph.D research of the University. The Cell is committed to fostering a strong culture of inquiry and innovation by:

  • Actively facilitating research projects undertaken by faculty members and students.
  • Encouraging the publication of high-quality research papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
  • Supporting innovation-driven initiatives, including patent filing, prototype development, and entrepreneurship.
  • Promoting strategic collaborations and partnerships with industries, research organizations, and nationally important academic institutions.

  1. UGC Fee Refund Policy Compliance:

The Institute of Pharmacy & Technology, Salipur strictly adheres to the Fee Refund Policy prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC). All fees are refund as per the norms of UGC & State Govt. Same are communicated with complete transparency through our official website. The institution ensures that all refunds are processed promptly and in full compliance with the timelines and directives set forth by the UGC.
