Research & Development Guideline & Committee

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released a detailed guideline for the establishment of a Research & Development Cell (RDC) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The guideline is intended to implement a robust mechanism for developing and strengthening the research ecosystem within HEIs, aligned with the provisions of NEP-2020. Furthermore, the guideline also outlines a template for RDC’s organizational structure comprising various committees for specified functions.  In this regard, the organisational structure of RDC, Institute has been formulated, outlining the functional roles and responsibilities of the following committees. 

A. Research & Development Advisory Council

i) Finance and Infrastructure Committee

ii) Research Program, Policy Development Committee

iii) Collaboration and Community Committee

iv) Product Development, Monitoring and Commercialization Committee

v) IPR, Legal and Ethical Matters Committee
